The Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Virginia (UVA) School of Medicine seeks applications for Senior Medical Office Coordinator.

The successful candidate will be expected to:
  • Prepare and type manuscripts for scientific publications and prepare slides for oral presentations.
  • Answer multiple phone lines.
  • Manage calendars.
  • Support clinic preparation and scheduling.
  • Transcribe notes and letters, including from film conference and other administrative transcription.
  • Review and prioritize incoming faxes and mail.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and reimbursements.
  • Assist with data entry and queries in databases.
  • Monitor and order supplies.
  • Assist with coordination of educational conferences.
  • Update faculty CVs.
  • Document scanning and management.

Qualified candidates must a high school diploma with at least five years of medical office experience. Bachelor's degree may substitute for experience minimum. Expertise with Microsoft Office and strong typing skills required. Familiarity with Epic and TravelUVA preferred.

This position will remain open until filled. This is a non-exempt-level, benefited position. This position is a restricted position and is dependent upon project need, availability of funding and performance.

Anticipated Hiring Range: $42,000 - $48,250 commensurate with education and experience.

The University will perform background checks on all new hires prior to employment. A completed pre-employment health screen is required for this position prior to employment.
