Capable clinician focused on expanding knowledge and skills. Consistently provides effective direct care, as part of the interdisciplinary team, to a variety of complex patients. Manages care and implements treatment plans at a refined skill level in collaboration with patients, their families, physicians and other members of the healthcare team. Seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice. Assumes a beginning leadership role but seeks mentoring in this process.

Position Compensation Range: $28.22 - $46.56 Hourly
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.

3 years of critical care experience required.
-
5 years and inter-facility transport experience preferred.

License to practice as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
-
American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS.
-
American Heart Association (AHA) PALS.
-
Unrestricted, valid driver's license.

Required within 6 months of hire date:

Neonatal Resuscitation Program

STABLE Program
-
Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) Level II or higher

Required within one year of hire date:

Virginia Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician

TNATC, ATLS Audit or Advanced Trauma equivalent

National specialty nursing certification (CCRN, RNC-NIC, C-NPT, CFRN)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to safely and securely fasten seat belts and shoulder harnesses in aircraft or ambulance, as provided by the aircraft or ambulance manufacturer, without modification to those safety devices. Able to tolerate stressors of flight and medical transport, including, but not limited to, excessive motion, vibration, extreme temperatures, standing or sitting for prolonged periods, frequent walking, bending/stooping and providing patient care in confined spaces. Able to respond to visual, verbal and non-verbal commands and communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Must be able to lift/push/pull a minimum of 150 lbs. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious diseases.
