The University of Virginia School of Education and Human Development is seeking multiple hourly Observation Scoring Support team members to join the Tools for Equitable Reading Instruction Research Team in the 2021-2022 academic year.
The Tools for Equitable Reading Instruction Research Team has developed two standardized observation tools analyzing how teachers help students cultivate essential literary skills and dispositions:
For grades K-2, assessing foundational reading instruction.
For grades 3-8, assessing text-based comprehension instruction.
We have recently launched several partnerships to determine if the tools can be used for reliable use at scale by using the tools to score from a collection of videotaped classroom observations, and are looking to expand our observation scoring support team!
