PulmDiag & Resp Therapy Shift Lead

Responsible for overseeing respiratory therapy activities and staffing models for respective shifts provided within the Health System and serves as a clinical resource regarding respiratory therapy services. Accountable for the quality and output from various team members during their shift. Serves as a content expert in areas of care. Escalates any issues that impede the execution of tasks to respiratory managers and director as appropriate. May provide oversight at multiple care locations.
  • Provides direct shift oversight to area staff and learners.
  • Tracks and monitors performance metrics in the areas
  • Performs area specific therapeutic procedures according to established guidelines.
  • Accurately communicates patient responses to interventions, and recommendations for care plan.
  • Participates in area specific professional activities and continuing education as directed.
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Position Compensation Range: $28.96 - $46.34 Hourly

Education: Bachelor's Degree required, Individuals in existing roles require BS degree completion within 3 years (4/15/2022).
Experience: 4 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

  • American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required, ACLS, PALS within 6 months of hire.
  • NBRC Specialty Credential (either RRT-ACCS, or RRT-NPS) required.
  • Individuals in existing PDRT RT Clinical Supervisor roles require specialty credential completion within 60 days.
  • Attainment of other patient population specialty credential (RRT-ACCS or RRT-NPS) required within 1 year of hire.


Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling; Reaching: (overhead, extensive, repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
