Project Management Specialist, Senior

Manages the completion of multiple and/or large complex IT application implementations and other organizational projects independently. Provides process leadership in the project management discipline. Provides project management monitors, including development of the project plan tracking of budget and expenses and development of progress reports as the project work proceeds. Serves as a liaison between project management team and stakeholders. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet multiple Health System goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with managers, clients, vendors, etc.
  • Acts as a leader or member of a project team responsible for analysis, design, development, and implementation of the projects assigned.
  • Leads all phases of project management activities; able to define, plan, and implement specific business objectives.
  • Utilizes MS suite of tools to manage and report on project completion.
  • Utilizes project management software, such as MS Project, to manage projects and project plans.
  • Approaches problems analytically and implements solutions that meet project goals and budgets.
  • Provides guidance and support to staff and/or management on complex problems or challenges.
  • Manages and facilitates meetings, being sensitive to timelines by ensuring all meetings are efficient and meaningful.
  • Leads project teams and maintains project momentum, manages budgets, and schedules and prepares reports.
  • Manages vendors to affect completion of required tasks and compliance with contract time frames and deliverables.
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Position Compensation Range: $84,364.80 - $134,992.00 Annually

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on project management experience. 5+ years with all aspects of the project management life cycle. 2 years of data gathering/business analysis. Healthcare industry experience preferred. Information technology experience preferred.
  • Licensure: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.

Job requires sitting for prolonged periods. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull ≤20 lbs and freely travel and climb stairs.
