The Office of Nursing Research at the University of Virginia seeks a project coordinator to provide fiscal and administrative support for the Office of Nursing Research, including processing expenditures, scheduling meetings, and other tasks as assigned. The incumbent works at the task level under direct supervision and follows prescribed procedures and protocols.

Responsibilities:

Work in conjunction with the Office of Nursing Research pre- and post-award team to prepare expenditure reports for review by leadership.

Process payments for external reviewers, ONR programs, and grant reviews.

Collect receipts for monthly reconciliations and year-end reporting.

Process reimbursements for Research faculty travel and expenses.

Support ONR with calendar management.

Monitor office supply needs for ONR operational team and purchase needed supplies using a T&E card.

Prepare minutes for ONR program meetings as requested, and track activity on assigned action items.

Support ONR staff by facilitating project logistics, such as scheduling meetings (in person and/or virtual) and reserving conference rooms.

Assist with coordinating reports and preparing materials for presentations and/or sponsor communications.

Assist with collecting and maintaining website information related to Research programs.

Conduct surveys and evaluations for research programs and prepare reports for leadership.

Assist with coordination of faculty and post-doc recruitment/onboarding.

Assist with students and research assistant hires and onboarding.

In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Required Qualifications:

Associate's degree.
-
One year of experience. Two years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (in particular Excel, Outlook, and Word).
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree.

Preference will be given to applicants who have worked in a support position in academia, specifically research academia, and who have experience with current UVA software systems and programs.
Compensation:
The anticipated hiring range for this position is $40,000 - $50,000. This is a full-time, non-exempt-level position with UVA

Physical Demands:
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs.
