Pediatric Gastroenterology Registered Nurse Care Coordinators perform a broad array of patient care and care coordination activities to ensure timely, comprehensive, complete, personal and responsive patient care. The RN Care Coordinator role often begins before the visit, such as obtaining patient information and coordinating multidisciplinary providers and resources; continues during the clinic and procedure visits with activities such as patient intake, teaching and medication administration; and continues after the visit with follow-up of results, education, phone and MyChart question response, evaluation and advice, and coordination of ongoing care. The multidimensional aspects of the role and responsibilities mean there are many potential indicators regarding the demand and capacity of RNCC staff to meet that demand.

Position Compensation Range: $65,249.60 - $107,660.80 Annually
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program.
Experience: 2 years of relevant experience.
Licensure: Licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull 20-50 lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
