New Grad RNs are automatically enrolled in the Nurse Residency Program upon hire. This year-long program will help establish the foundation of clinical skills you will need throughout your career. Monthly classes supplement your clinical unit-based orientation, providing didactic, evidence-based content essential to developing clinicians, as well as peer discussion about transition-to-practice issues. You are automatically enrolled in the NRP regardless of which unit you are hired into.

Entry-level professional nurse, focused primarily on developing knowledge and skills. Provides safe patient care at a basic level and shows growth in ability to care for increasingly complex patients. Manages care and implements treatment plans at a basic skill level in collaboration with patients, their families, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team. Requires consultation with more experienced clinicians and benefits from feedback.

Position Compensation Range: $31.00 - $51.15 Hourly
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
Experience: No experience required.
Licensure: Licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull 20-50 lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease.
