An entry-level professional nurse, this role focuses primarily on developing knowledge and skills. Provides safe patient care at a basic level and shows growth in ability to care for increasingly complex patients. Manages care and implements treatment plans at a basic skill level in collaboration with patients, their families, physicians and other members of the healthcare team. Requires consultation with more experienced clinicians and benefits from feedback.
New Grad RNs are automatically enrolled in the Nurse Residency Program upon hire. This year-long program will help establish the foundation of clinical skills you will need throughout your career. Monthly classes supplement your clinical unit-based orientation, providing didactic, evidence-based content essential to developing clinicians, as well as peer discussion about transition-to-practice issues. You are automatically enrolled in the NRP regardless of which unit you are hired into.

Position Compensation Range: $27.00 - $44.36 Hourly
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
Experience: No experience required.
Licensure: Licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull 20-50 lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

he New Graduate Nurse Retention Program is designed to provide additional financial support through your first 5 years of practice as you meet the challenges of nursing in this exciting environment. You will be eligible for up to $15,000 (before taxes). $5,000.00 is paid on your first paycheck to help cover relocation, NCLEX prep/testing, etc., and $5,000 is paid after your 2nd and 3rd work anniversaries.
