The Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases and International Heath, is seeking a Medical Office Coordinator. The incumbent is the point of contact for HIV/AIDS patients within the Department of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Medicine. The incumbent is responsible for providing patient access to medical services, support services, and educational resources. The incumbent coordinates the Ryan White Clinic's housing program, ensuring patient access to applicable Ryan White and other ancillary services in the community, and also acts as an insurance counselor. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that the patient access team files meet Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and Virginia Department of Health (VDH) auditing standards and that medical case management performance measures meet HRSA quality standards. Incumbent works closely with the Ryan White Case Management and Community Health Team.

  • Qualified applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two years administrative experience working in healthcare or case management.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Nursing, or a related field is preferred, as well as Epic, and CAREWare computer applications.
