Manager, Electronic Security

Oversees electronic security systems for UVA Health including, but not be limited to, ID badge systems, camera surveillance systems and access door controls. Accountable for implementation of electronic security plan. Works in conjunction with other members of the University community, including facilities, police and security, ensuring a safe environment for patients, visitors and team members. Ensures that there is effective integration of various systems that rely on ID badges for access to facilities and distribution of supplies and payment systems.

Provides effective leadership to Badge Office team to providing high-quality service to all UVA Health team members and others who have relationships with UVA Health and need ID badges. Manages the training of team members on phones, software systems, reports and other departmental duties, as needed.

Position Compensation Range: $70,595.20 - $112,944.00 Annually

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 3 years of progressively more responsible experience required.
  • Licensure: Must successfully pass a FBI Bioterrorism Security Risk Assessment.

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs.
