Under the direction and control of a licensed physical therapist, the licensed physical therapy assistant may assist the physical therapist in performing selected components of physical therapy intervention to include treatment measurement and data collection.
  • Implements established therapy treatment plans and provides therapy interventions under the direction of a licensed therapist.
  • Documents patient care according to professional standards and departmental guidelines.
  • Actively participates in quality improvement program development and professional growth activities.
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Position Compensation Range: $24.72 - $39.55 Hourly

  • Education: Associate's degree.
  • Experience: No experience required.
  • Licensure: Licensed to practice as a physical therapist assistant within the Commonwealth of Virginia and/or certification with the appropriate credentialing Board of the profession. American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS certification required. Valid driver's license required.

Job requires frequently bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull 50-100 lbs. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
