Desired candidates should have experience in the following areas:
Responsibilities of the position includes small animal surgical procedures and non-invasive imaging (ultrasound, PET, optical imaging), image analysis, data analysis, histology/microscopy, assays and communicating research results in the form of manuscripts and formal presentations. The position also involves maintaining databases, formulating new scientific hypotheses, preparation of reagents and contrast agents and maintenance and oversight of laboratory compliance with OHSU IACUC, DCM, Biosafety and radiation safety and DEA for use of controlled substances. This position also includes managerial roles of learners and others in the laboratory and requires communication with researchers within the laboratory as well as from other departments who uses the facilities and equipment.
