IT Tech Intermediate, Service Desk

Serve as the first line of support for Health System IT customers, possessing an advanced proficiency to resolve a wide range of issues and inquiries relating to PCs, operating systems (Windows and MAC), and applications, printers, peripherals, mobile devices, departmental software, and institutional systems. Process incoming email web requests and calls from internal and external customers as well as leadership.
  • An advanced knowledge of PC,s printers, keyboarding skills, mobile devices, and more than a basic understanding of network functionality and remote control competency is required.
  • Ability to effectively and accurately communicate with end-users verbally and in writing using good customer service.
  • Accurately record reported events and problems and their resolutions in the incident tracking system.
  • Is able to identify and suggest possible improvements of procedures and successfully work in a team-oriented customer service environment.
  • Abides by designated performance improvement risk management privacy and information technology requirements of the Medical Center.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable health system state national and federal regulatory accreditation and Medical Center requirements.
  • Participates on workgroups as required.
  • With advanced proficiency is able to resolve issues and inquiries regarding PCs operating systems (Windows and MAC) and applications printers peripherals mobile devices departmental software and institutional systems.
  • Troubleshoots Issues and Workflow.
  • Identify effective and efficient process improvement solutions and opportunities.
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Position Compensation Range: $24.72 - $39.55 Hourly


  • Education: Associate degree or relevant certification
  • Experience: 5 years relevant experience
  • Licensure: None


This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
