UVA Primary Care Family Care of Culpeper is seeking a Family Medicine Physician for their practice in Culpeper, VA.

 

Position Highlights

  • Our practice is a group of five providers located close to Warrenton, Virginia.
  • You will have the opportunity to work (4) days a week.
  • Shared telephonic call schedule.
  • Opportunity for academic involvement through our partnership with UVA Medical Center.

 

The Physicians Group is a distinct organization from the University of Virginia, the School of Medicine, the School of Nursing, and the UVA Medical Center and works collaboratively with these partners that make up the UVA Health System to provide high-quality patient care. Our physicians serve patients at the main UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville and throughout Central Virginia, including Culpeper, Richmond, Winchester and additional future openings throughout Virginia

Through our partnership with the UVA Medical Center, our University Physicians Group physicians may have the opportunity for faculty appointments through sponsoring departments.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Graduate of accredited medical school with degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO). Completion of accredited chosen specialty,
  • Board certification in specialty (if newly graduated from residency, must be obtained within 2 years of graduation) must be kept current.
  • Unrestricted license to practice within the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Current DEA certificate without restriction.
  • Current BLS and PALS.


COVID Vaccination Requirement

Due to the scope of President Biden's Executive Order 14042 issued in early September, all University employees, including remote employees, must receive their final vaccination dose by January 4, 2022, unless they have a University-approved religious or medical exemption. The University has updated policy SEC-045 to reflect these new requirements.

If hired by the Academic Division, excluding School of Medicine, School of Nursing, UVA Physicians Group, and the Health Systems Library, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination or be willing to be vaccinated by January 4, 2022. Academic employees may apply for a University-approved medical or religious exemption.
