Director, Patient Access - Revenue Cycle

The Director of Patient Access, Revenue Cycle is the strategic business and operational lead for Revenue Cycle patient-facing access functions impacting revenue cycle performance for the Health System [Medical Center (MC) and University Physicians Group (UPG)]. The Director drives Revenue Cycle performance by oversight of Patient Access functions related to hospital and professional services, registration, ED registration, admissions, point-of-service cash collections, and financial coordination. This role is responsible for leading and directing the units performing these activities, ensuring that optimal patient and team relations and financial performance standards are maintained. The Director is collaborative and integrated with Health System scheduling, billing, clinical services, and other functions closely tied to achieving optimal front-end and patient financial outcomes for the MC and UPG.

Position Compensation Range: $102,835.20 - $164,528.00 Annually

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree must be obtained within 4 years of hire or transfer.
  • Experience: 8 years of healthcare business/finance experience and/or admitting/patient access experience required, to include at least 5 years of management experience in a large academic medical center or equivalent environment of exposure to complex healthcare organizations.
  • Licensure: None required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs.
