The Digital Marketing Strategist's primary function is to manage the email marketing platform and related lists, templates and landing pages. Specific work includes managing the email functions of our Salesforce Marketing Cloud business unit, creating and optimizing email templates, managing lists and data extensions, sending emails and newsletters, and supporting and training the other users of the system.

The Digital Marketing Strategist is the primary source of communication to all stakeholders and content owners for the email marketing system and related projects. This role will also learn and take on other CRM management, such as data flow management and lead tagging.

This role will also perform light front-end development (HTML, CSS), troubleshooting, application set-up and configuration, as needed. This position will also work to support the organization's strategies and goals relative to internal and external communications.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with the marketing, content, creative and digital teams to build campaigns.
  • Develop microsites and campaign pages in the CRM system(s).
  • Manage external email and list vendors and agencies.
  • Manage the email and process workflow across several marketing teams and track progress through Workfront.
  • Use proven understanding of UX, IA and email best practices to create effective templates.
  • Understand and manage the Invoca call tracking and reporting systems.
  • Measure, track and report the effectiveness of the campaigns using CRM, Google Analytics and vendor tools.
  • Integrate campaigns with internal systems, data sources and tracking.

Other Digital Responsibilities:
  • Operate as part of a larger digital team to overlap and backfill in the areas of web maintenance, troubleshooting, analytics and reporting.
  • Stay current on new technologies and recommend and plan for content enhancements to the system.
  • Communicate clearly to express thoughts and ideas.
  • Manage multiple projects effectively.

In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Position Compensation Range: $52,436.80 - $83,907.20 Annually

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the digital space and 2 years of email platform management or email marketing campaigns is desired. Similar experience in the web or analytics space may qualify as a substitute.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience with CRM, marketing automation systems or other large applications is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a large matrixed environment highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of HTML and CSS required. Deeper technical abilities a strong plus.
  • Excellent writing and communications skills are required.
  • Salesforce certification(s) a strong plus.
