Provides analytical and technical expertise for the Decision Support team. Expected to maintain a high level of understanding and demonstrate extensive knowledge in financial data, analysis, and reporting systems. Works in partnership with various UVA Health teams to accomplish strategic objectives. Exemplifies professional behavior at all times.

Strong preference for candidates with the following:
  • Financial reporting and analysis experience, especially those with applied skills in supporting and maintaining a financial reporting system. Anaplan familiarity is advantageous.
  • Practice with identifying and implementing financial reporting improvement opportunities.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry, specifically academic medical centers in a multi-hospital setting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and SQL.
  • Familiarity with ERP and EMR systems. PeopleSoft GL, Epic EMR, and Workday HR systems understanding a plus.

  • Assists with the maintenance and development of the financial reporting system, including reporting structure, security requests, end user education, and best usage recommendations.
  • Provides financial analyses on systemwide projects for the greater Financial Planning team and UVA Health leadership.
  • Prepares detailed reports, data, analytics, and actionable business insights relating to business planning and business performance improvement efforts.
  • Exercises sound judgment in recommendations of financial decisions.
  • Collaborates on the development and delivery of professional presentations that influence senior leadership decision making.
  • Willingly adapts to organizational change and models commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Position Compensation Range: $59,072.00 - $94,515.20 Annually

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience: 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Licensure: CGMA and PMP preferred.

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs.
