Demonstrates the cognitive skills required to perform comprehensive echocardiographic imaging on neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients with a core level of expertise in congenital heart disease.
Demonstrates the technical skills and abilities required to perform comprehensive congenital echocardiograms.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: Must meet the education requirement for diagnostic medical ultrasound or echocardiography ultrasound certification with either ARDMS or CCI; Associate's degree preferred.
Experience: Two years of clinical experience required.
License/Certification: Credentials from ARDMS as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or CCI as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS).
American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping and reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive)
Repetitive motion: Manipulation of ultrasound transducer.
Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly
Ability to lift/push/pull 100lbs.
May be exposed to chemicals, radiation, blood/body fluids, and disease.
