The Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging at UVA is seeking a full-time Licensed Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) or Licensed Intermediate CRC to participate as an integral team member in Nuclear Medicine imaging and therapy trials. The incumbent must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as the position involves interaction with patients, physicians, researchers, and clinical staff. The incumbent must perform independently and as part of a team, demonstrating the ability to prioritize competing tasks and take initiative. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.

The Licensed CRC will perform a full range of clinical research duties and have a working knowledge of the clinical research process and the regulations that govern it. The primary focus of the work includes but is not limited to the following:

• Assists in preparing and maintenance of grant applications and protocol submissions (for e.g., Institutional Review Board, Grants and Contracts Office).
• Obtains informed consent under minimal supervision of the investigator(s) and educates participants regarding study requirements.
• Accurately collects and records study data according to research protocols. Inputs all information into database/electronic data collection system and interacts with the sponsor directly.
• Assists in the activities related to clinical research studies including but not limited to: answering phone calls, screening participants for eligibility, scheduling participant visits, registering subjects with sponsoring agency and internal systems, and administering questionnaires.
• Maintains source documents and subject files in accordance with local and federal guidelines.
• Ensures accurate and complete compilation of subject data through chart reviews.
• Promotes and maintains quality and integrity of all research activities.
• Assists with processing and shipping samples for research studies.
• Performs other related duties.

This is a restricted position; continuation is dependent on funding and satisfactory performance.

Minimum Requirements: (Clinical Research Coordinator, Licensed)

• Associate's degree or higher in sciences, health or related field.
• At least one year of clinical research experience is required.
• Licensure: RN license is required.

Minimum Requirements: (Intermediate Clinical Research Coordinator, Licensed)

• Associate's degree in sciences, health or related field. Preference for Bachelor's degree in sciences, health or related field.
• Four years of clinical research experience. Related graduate degree may substitute for two years of experience.
• Licensure: RN license is required.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Skills using Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
