Clinical Lab Scientist - Core Lab, Nights

  • Responsible for performing complex procedures for clinical diagnostic purposes.
  • Performs Patient and Quality Control (QC) testing, develops skills and maintains competency in routine, “specials” and assigned laboratory areas.
  • Maintains proper inventories and correctly uses supplies and reagents.
  • Monitors equipment performance diagnoses malfunctions and makes repairs or initiates service requests.
  • Ensures a smooth transition to the next shift.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of quality safety and compliance programs.
  • Investigates documents and resolves routine problems or complaints.
Position Compensation Range: $21.95 - $34.02 Hourly
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related science, Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology (MT/CLS). 
  • Accredited and approved MT/CLS Program – 0 years; Bachelors in Bio/Chem – 3 years; MLT-4 years. 
  • ASCP or equivalent certification within 18 months of hire.

Job requires standing, sitting for prolonged periods, frequently walking, bending/stooping, reaching and repetitive motion. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, radiation, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
