Responsible for performing specialized technologist roles within the invasive cardiovascular procedure setting. Operates specific high technology equipment and utilizes products under the direction of a qualified physician to assist with procedures performed on patients that lead to the diagnosis and treatment of congenital and acquired heart and peripheral vascular disease.
  • Performs and supports image acquisition, image processing, physiologic/hemodynamic data acquisition and simple EP/3D mapping during invasive procedures. Assists nurses with patient management.
  • Assists physician operator and invasive team before, during and after invasive procedures.
  • Provides appropriate care to patients consistent with level of training.
  • Performs activities to support the service/departmental operation.
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

 

Position Compensation Range: $28.96 - $46.34 Hourly

 

 


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited formal medical education program such as CVT, EMT, Paramedic, Radiography, Respiratory Therapy, Exercise Science or similar field or associate's degree in a health sciences-related field.
  • Experience: No experience required. Clinical patient care experience strongly preferred.
  • Licensure: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred. American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support certification required

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing for prolonged periods and frequently bending/stooping/walking. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull 20-50lbs. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
