The University of Virginia Darden School of Business, one of the world's leading business schools, seeks an Assistant/Associate Director, Admissions Systems and Analytics to join its team.
The Systems and Analytics team provides development and support of the systems used throughout the application cycle, leveraging CRM technology (specifically Technolutions Slate) to support admissions, enrollment communications and marketing activities in the Office of Admissions at the Darden School of Business.
This position contributes to the successful accomplishment of the School's enrollment objectives by working with the admissions and enrollment marketing teams to develop and implement a comprehensive student recruitment plan that includes, but is not limited to, effective and efficient processing of prospect and applicant data, managing best practices for data and technology, performing database administrator duties and contributing to the goal of exceptional customer service.
To be considered for an Assistant Director role, responsibilities include:
Business Process Tasks

Configure and customize CRM to maximize its full potential, including development of event management, outreach efforts, form building, portal enhancements, web tracking and prospect management.

Support management of CRM system (Slate) integration with the Student Information System (SIS).

Build out (edit and maintain) advanced Slate features, including complex rule sets, custom checklists, fields, prompts and portals.

Execute detailed technical testing of new configurations.
-
Conduct quality assurance procedures as needed in CRM to ensure correct communications are delivered to correct populations and configurations are accurate.

Implement best practices focused on enhancing enrollment outcomes.

Serve as backup to other technology team staff responsibilities related to Slate CRM.
Data Integrity and Analysis

Develop and maintain ability to utilize data for effective analysis of admissions activities and enrollment communications.

Create, launch and monitor workflows using multichannel communication, as well as tracking interactions and student behaviors.

Create complex queries to enable strategic, data-informed decision making. Define requirements for data and create reports to fulfill admissions and enrollment marketing needs.

Cross-reference data from ancillary systems.
Technology Support for Admissions and Enrollment Marketing

Coordinate technology support for admissions and marketing staff to execute all communications through Slate platform.

Manage queries and system tools to create and coordinate the flow of communications with targeted prospect populations.

Support creation and delivery of CRM trainings for admissions and enrollment marketing teams.

Troubleshoot CRM solutions for admissions and enrollment marketing needs.
In addition to the above, Associate Director-level responsibilities include:

Utilizing more fully developed technical skills and emerging advanced skills to take on projects that are more complex.

Applying skills to solve most problems without review and with latitude to devise the approach and method to performing assignments.

Performing long-term or non-routine assignments with minimal supervisory intervention, seeking assistance when significant deviations are proposed or when unprecedented problems arise.

Training, serving as a resource, and providing guidance to more junior staff on non-routine problems, processes and policies.

Assisting senior staff in developing approaches to problem-solving and anticipating issues.
Education and Professional Experience:
-
Assistant Director – Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, computer engineering or related discipline with at least one year of experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Associate Director – Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, computer engineering or related discipline and at least three years of experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience will include leading complex projects and teams with minimal supervision and the ability to mentor and motivate junior team members.

Experience in a CRM-based function required. Technolutions Slate experience highly preferred.

Relevant technology experience that demonstrates a working knowledge of systems, data analysis and/or higher education admissions operations.
