Ambulatory Pharmacist
Job ID: R0038047 | Pharmacy | Full Time, Nights, 7 On / 7 Off | Charlottesville, VA
Oversees the nightly operation of the pharmacy. Ensures the safe and effective use of medications by providing optimal drug product selection, dosage regimen design, effective administration, drug therapy monitoring services, and supervision of the medication dispensing process in the Medical Center.
  • Oversees nightly pharmacy operations.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Pharmacy distributive services.
  • Maintains a role providing clinical pharmaceutical care to patients.
  • Provides drug information to customers inside and outside of the Medical Center.
  • Practices pharmacy in accordance with regulations.
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned

Position Compensation Range: $104,894.40 - $167,835.20 Annual

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Education: Minimum of bachelor's degree in pharmacy; PharmD preferred.
  • Experience: No experience required.
  • Licensure: Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy license. American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing and walking for prolonged periods. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull <20 lbs. May be exposed to chemicals.
